I found out that (1) the engineering drawings of how the building will be built - which are necessary in order to get a building permit - will take 12 - 18 months, and (2) that from the time of ground-breaking until the time a grocery store could move back in, might be as short as a year. That is, if the concept is approved at the second reading. There is no guarantee that it will be Winn-Dixie, but since they were heavily involved in the design of the loading area, I am encouraged to believe that they will want to move into this new, enlarged space. And (3) most of the delivery trucks come before the peek morning rush hour - that is, before 7:00 am.

Tri-Rail trains will run 5-car sets starting Friday, May 22nd, in preparation for increased train service due to the reopening of business in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Tomorrow, Saturday, May 23, at 11:30 am at the Metro South Senior Aptartments we will be honoring the South Miami Police Department, Firefighters and the workers at our two hospitals . We will have someone playing the trumpet and singing from one of the balconies facing Sunset Drive. You are invited to come.
