FREE TAX PREPARATION

AARP Tax-Aide Program offers free tax preparation. Locally, the following sites will be open at five Miami-Dade Libraries and Homestead Community Center. The schedule starts on February 1 and ends on April 15.

Mondays (except Feb. 19) 10 am - 2 pm South Miami Branch Library

Tuesdays 10 am - 2 pm Homestead Community Center

Wednesdays 2 pm - 6:30 pm South Dade Regional Library

Thursdays 10 am - 2 pm West Kendall Regional Library Fridays 10 am - 2 pm Coral Reef Branch Library

Saturdays 10 am - 2 pm Pinecrest Branch Library

Bring all your tax papers and (if you can) your 2022 return when you come. Also, bring something to entertain yourself - there are waits involved - like a book, or paper, or phone to read.

HOME WANTED

A pigeon with a broken leg was found. I took her to the veterinarian and her leg was set. Now her leg has been out of the cast for a

while. I named her Skye. For some reason, Skye does not like to fly. I would be glad to let her go free, but I am afraid she will not survive if I put her out in the yard. I would very much like to find a home for her, in part, because six cats live with me. Please let me know if you have any good ideas about a home for Skye.
