DINING IN

Starting Monday, August 31, restaurants throughout Miami-Dade county will be allowed to have indoor dining as long as they follow all the safety regulations. This means no more than 50% of the seating capacity can be used. Some other guidelines include: no more than four people may be seated at any one table. Tables should be a least six feet from one another. The restaurant's filter system must be at a rating of 13 or above. Masks must be worn by diners until water glasses are brought to the table.

CURFEW

The Miami-Dade County-wide curfew of 10 pm is still in effect. When the positivity percentage is 5% or under for several weeks, then the curfew may be shortened to 11 pm.

CAUTION

There is some worry, that people will get careless over the Labor Day holiday and that the number of infections will rise dramatically. If there is a spike in the rate of positivity (the percentage of all those tested who are positive), restaurants may need to close their indoor dining areas, again. Right now the rate of positivity is around 10%.

ANTIBODY TESTING

Speaking of testing, there will be free antibody testing this coming Monday (August 31). Those who have developed antibodies to Covid-19 may be able to help save lives. It is hoped that anyone who believes that s/he has developed antibodies will come out to be tested at the Children's Clinic. See below for all the details.
